About the Collection of Asian Research Library
The items with “Gen.The Asian Research Library 4F”, “Gen.Stack(Asia)” and some of the items with “Gen.Auto Storage (アジア研究図書館資料)” in the OPAC locations are materials of the Asian Research Library.
Materials are organized by region based on our unique classification system. For more information, please see 'How to Find Materials'.
Use of Materials
Anyone who has access to the General Library can browse the materials.
Borrowing
Holders of Library ID card (including student and faculty/staff ID card) and holders of the General Library's own ID card, which allows one to borrow books, can check out books.

Renewal is not available for books that are under overdue penalties or reserved.
Returning
Please follow these guidelines when returning library materials:

Open-shelf books, Automated Storage Materials: Please return them to the General Information Desk or the Book Drop. During off-hours, you can use the Main Entrance book drop.

Materials can be returned to the Book Drop except for those instructed at the time of checkout as not returnable to the Book Drop.

For materials such as oversized books, damaged items, or those unsuitable for regular return methods(transport), kindly bring them directly to the counter.

The Lecture Room
The Lecture Room is the glass-walled room located at the center of the Asian Research Library. It can be reserved for study, research, and educational activities such as classes, seminars, study groups, and lectures related to Asian studies.
