On Thursday, April 1, 2021, the Research Advancement Section for the Asian Research Library was newly established at the University of Tokyo.

The newly appointed full-time faculty members will play a central role in providing research support to Asian studies researchers and in managing the Asian Studies Library, including the construction of the library collection, with the aim of establishing and spreading the subject librarian system.
