ACCU Materials details
The literacy education materials formerly owned by the Asia-Pacific Cultural Centre for UNESCO is the collection presents a large corpus of materials of 3,487 items collected by the Centre in the course of its activities in 25 countries throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
The essential distinctive feature of the collection is that it consists of teaching materials intended for out-of-school (non-formal) education of illiterate adults. And the collection provides valuable primary sources for studies in a variety of research areas, such as education, history, linguistics, local culture, gender, hygiene and public health.
