Nanki Collection Former collection of the Kishu (Wakayama Pref.) Tokugawa family, which can be considered an accumulation of various private collections. Nanki collection incorporates a number of private book collections of the Edo period.

Mines in Paintings and Illustrated Scrolls Collection The collection includes scrolls with images of Sado Aikawa Gold Silver Mine (Sado-shi, Niigata Prefecture), Heii-gun Kanazawa Village Gold Mine (Otsuchi-cho, Iwate Prefecture), and Saki no Ohtsu Agawa Village (Shimonoseki-shi, Yamaguchi Prefecture), and also pictures such as Shikioka e-zu and Furigane e-zu. In particular, "Saki no Ohtsu Agawa-mura yama-satetsu arai-tori no zu" is highly regarded as an introduction to the cutting-edge steel industry of the time, including iron manufacturing using Tatara furnaces, and has been featured in textbooks and other publications.
