■Colonial Law in Africa, 1946-1966
During the nineteenth and twentieth Centuries, the British published official ‘Government Gazettes’ that outlined the colonial laws of an African country for the year. This collection, drawn from the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office records, includes an accumulation of published Gazettes in twelve African countries. The volumes within this collection are divided by country. The countries include: Basutoland (Lesotho), Kenya, Lagos (Nigeria), Northern Rhodesia (Zambia), Nyasaland (Malawi), Sierra Leone, Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe), The Gambia, Gold Coast (Ghana), Uganda, Zanzibar (Tanzania), and Tanganyika (Tanzania).
