TREE(UTokyo Resource Explorer) is simply a service which allows you to search for academic information from one search window. You can search for books, electronic and paper, and materials all at once without worrying about choosing a database.
※It mainly searches within the University of Tokyo OPAC and databases that the university has contracted with (which permission was given from the providers). There are materials such as Japanese newspaper databases which are outside of TREE search, please use individual databases according to the purpose.

The University of Tokyo OPAC is the system for searching the online union catalog database of books and journals held in the University of Tokyo. (The input of data concerning books acquired before 1986 is underway.)　You can search journals by title (journal title) and books by title (book title) or author.
From August 2021, you can also search e-journals and e-books available at the University of Tokyo.
This service is also available for smartphones. 

Please click on "Login" to use the database. "Login using GakuNin" is not available.

This database includes an encyclopedia of Japan, dictionary tools, links to academic sites, etc. Its integrated search platform covers a large number of materials, such as the Encyclopedia Nipponica, and the Random House English-Japanese Dictionary.

You can collectively search for information on articles, bibliographies, and dissertations provided by CiNii. Research data and research project information are also searched.

This is a database of articles in major academic journals of all subject fields. It allows you to find articles citing these works or that share a common reference, as well as to limit a search by keywords.　In addition to journals, conference proceedings, books, research data, etc. are included.

This database provides the search and full-texts of articles on newspapers published by Nikkei since April, 1975.

A sequel to the "Mainichi News Pack". In addition to full text searches and access to articles of Mainichi News and Weekly Economist, searches for images of Mainichi from 1872 (the first issue) to 1999 are also possible. Searches for results of opinion polls conducted yearly by Mainichi Press since 1945 are also possible.

UTokyo Repository is the system to store and provide digital resources created by members of the University of Tokyo community. Its main purpose is to develop digital collections, make them available online, and preserve them for long-term access.

As one of the initiatives of “The University of Tokyo Digital Archives Construction Project”, this system allows you to search across the collections and databases that have been digitized through this project, as well as valuable collections and databases that have been independently made public by departments within the university.

Archives Unbound. European Colonialism in the Early 20th Century: French Colonialism in Africa: From Algeria to Madagascar, 1910-1930 is available on Archives Unbound. This collection comprises correspondence, studies and reports, cables, maps, and other kinds of documents related to U.S. consular activities. U.S. Consulates were listening posts reporting on the activities of the French colonial government and the activities of the native peoples. Highlights include the beginning of an anti-colonial movement and problems along the Moroccan-Algerian border.

Archives Unbound. Evangelism in Japan: Correspondence of the Board of Foreign Missions, 1859-1911 is available on Archives Unbound.
This database consists of the records of the foreign missions of the Presbyterian Church in Japan which report social conditions in Japan and efforts to spread the gospel during the nineteenth century.

Archives Unbound. Shanghai Municipal Council: The Municipal Gazette, 1908-1940 is available on Archives Unbound. As the official organ of the Shanghai Municipal Council, The Municipal Gazette was established in 1908 and ceased publication in 1942. Released every Friday, the Gazette published notifications, departmental reports, letters from readers, minutes of Council meetings, municipal budget, monthly summary of revenue, financial statements on income and expenditures, policies and orders formulated by the council. This is a complete collection of the Gazette, containing all 35 volumes.

Archives Unbound. The Observer: News for the American Soldier in Vietnam, 1962-1973 is available on Archives Unbound. The Observer was a weekly newspaper published by the Command Information Division of the U.S. Military Assistance Command’s Office of Information. It was the official organ of the Military Assistance Command, and it carried official news about and for American troops in Vietnam. The Military Assistance Command spread more than 80,000 weekly Observers among all points in Vietnam in which American troops were domiciled.

Archives Unbound. WWI and Revolution in Russia, 1914-1918 is available on Archives Unbound.
This collection documents the Russian entrance into World War I and the Revolution in Russia in 1917 and 1918. The documents consist primarily of correspondence between the British Foreign Office, various British missions and consulates in the Russian Empire and the Tsarist government and later the Provisional Government.

arXiv is an open-access archive containing preprints in the fields of physics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative biology, quantitative finance, statistics, electrical engineering and systems science, and economics.

The database which can use the publication of ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers) issue online. A printing magazine is Applied Engineering in Agriculture, Biological Engineering Transactions, Journal of Agricultural Safety and Health, Journal of the ASABE and Resource Magazine.
