(From 14/7/2020) Regarding the library service during the University activities restriction Level 0.5

The General Library provides the following services from 14th July 2020 since The University of Tokyo Activity Restrictions Index for Preventing the Spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is downgraded to Level 0.5 on 13th July.

1. Admittance

During the restriction index Level0.5, to avoid infection risk, eligible members are limited as below.

 No admittance until the day to be determined

  • The users are required to wear face masks in the library.
  • Please refrain from entering if you have a condition below.
    • If you are experiencing any health issue.
    • If you have a fever of 37.5 degrees or more. (Conducting non-contacting thermometry when entering the library.) * In preparation
    • If you  have had close contact with COVID-19 patient.
    • If you have had close contact with  person who come to Japan from oversea within 14 days.

 

2. Opening / Closing information (From 14th July 2020)

The General Library (Main bldg. and Annex bldg.) will be open as usual from 14th July 2020 during the Level 0.5.

Saturday, Sunday and National Holidays 9:00~19:00 9:00~17:00

* The regular closing days and temporary closing for repair work will occur. Please check the General Library web site for latest information.

 

3. For UTokyo Members

3.1 Availability of facilities and conditions to use

  • The thinned-out reading desks and rooms are available.
  • The thinned-out ECCS facilities are available.
  • The Library Plaza is open under some limitation for usage.
    • Conversation is restricted.
    • Further reservation for the oval tables is suspended.
    • The monitor area for events is suspended.

3.2 Usage of library materials

  • The library materials are available as usual.
  • The parcel book delivery and mail photocopy service on the General Library materials is available for UTokyo members whom unable to visit the library.
  • Returning Open-shelf books by postal/parcel delivery service is available as usual. (*Postage is at your own expense.)

 

4. For Non-UTokyo Members (incl. alumni, former teachers)

  • The library materials are not available until the day to be determined.
