Notice on the temporary closure of the General Library in summer 2020. (Updated)
Due to the materials relocation, the following is the schedule for the temporary closure of the General Library after the completion of renovation work. It may cause you inconvenience, thank you for your understanding.
[Period of Temporary Closure]
From September 8 (Tue.) to September 30 (Wed.) 2020
[Special Loan]
Special loans will be available as follows. In the following period, the due date on the loaned/renewed materials will be set to October 8. (Thu.) (Not renewable)
The longer loan period between Special Loan and Regular Loan will be applied for the materials which checked out during the implementation.

Only the materials from the stacks or automated stacks are available to check out.
Openshelf books cannot be checked out or reserved.
Details for check out procedure and hours of operation will be announced at a later date.
- Implementation for special loan
Weekdays : From September 8 (Tue.) to September 30 (Wed.)
- Applied Users(it is possible to change due to the adjustment on the restriction level at University of Tokyo)
UTokyo affiliates,Other library card holders who check out stacks materials from the General Library
*This service is not available to graduates (includes graduates card holders), people from other universities, or general users.
- The Library Plaza in the Annex Building is open. (Except for Sunday, September 27)
