[Event Archive] Science Library Display 2025

Science Library holds mini-exhibitions on an irregular basis to display and introduce several items from our diverse collection. In FY2025, a total of two exhibits were held.


■Neutrino research in Japan: from Dr. Masatoshi Koshiba and Dr. Takaaki Kajita to the latest research(November 17 - December 25, 2025)

Dr. Masatoshi Koshiba and Dr. Takaaki Kajita, both graduates of the Graduate School of Science at the University of Tokyo, who greatly advanced neutrino research, conducted studies observing neutrinos using the Kamiokande and Super-Kamiokande detectors in Kamioka, Gifu Prefecture. In recognition of their achievements, Dr. Koshiba was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2002, and Dr. Kajita was awarded the prize in 2015.
To commemorate of the 10th anniversary of Dr. Kajita’s Nobel Prize, we introduced materials from the Science Library’s collection, ranging their books, papers from the past neutrino research to the latest studies.

 

 

■The Appeal of BLUE BACKS(January 21 - March 6, 2026)

We held an exhibition featuring "BLUE BACKS".
BLUE BACKS is a paperback series published by Kodansha that explains natural sciences and technology for the general readers. This exhibition gathered and displayed books from the series authored by our faculty members, aiming to let visitors experience the appeal of BLUE BACKS.
