■Dr. Syukuro Manabe: Global Warming Prediction

In recent years, Japan has experienced extreme heat and heavy rainfall during the rainy season and summer. Globally, the effects of climate change are serious, and global warming is believed to be the cause.
This exhibition focused on the materials written by Dr. Manabe, who had pioneered research on the effects of the greenhouse effect caused by atmospheric carbon dioxide in the 1960s, long before global warming became an issue, and laid the foundation for today’s climate change research.

On September 30, 2024, Dr. Manabe visited our university. Since it was during the exhibition period, he also visited Science Library to view the exhibition!
