This is a voluminous report of the Challenger's research, which set sail 150 years ago for the purpose of exploring the oceans.

This exhibit also introduces the report paper on the hydropolyp obtained by the Challenger and given the Japanese name "Otohime no hanagasa" at the Misaki Marine Biological Station.
