附属図書館の蔵書が1,000万冊に到達!

The University Library's collection reached ten million books in 2023, making us the first university library in Japan to acquire ten million books.

The university has three Main Libraries, the General Library, Komaba Library, and Kashiwa Library. In addition, it has 27 department libraries located in faculties, graduate schools, research institutes, etc. These 30 libraries work together to provide services as a "single collaborative system" that form the University of Tokyo Library System. The ten million books are the combined total of all the books in the 30 libraries.

To commemorate this, we have launched a public relations project titled "UTokyo Library Milestone of 10 Million Volumes: Stories of 10 Million Books", for which a special website was created. On the website, we have posted a variety of content, including columns by faculties involved in the operation of the University Library System. Please visit the website:
