We implemented the new library web services.
These updates help your research in a more practical way.
1. UTokyo OPAC renewal
We renewed OPAC search service. With the latest update, you can search print materials and e-resources such as e-journals and e-books at once. It helps you to access the original text quickly. (About off-campus access, please check Note.2)
And we also implemented on OPAC :
- List of the other libraries hours
- Virtual Bookshelf for books

２. Off-Campus access renewal
We introduced a new off-campus access service "EZproxy".
In this update, you will be able to access a wide range of e-resources remotely.
You can use this new service through "UTokyo OPAC" or the “Database” page in the "University of Tokyo Library System" web site.
Although the former system (SSL-VPN Gateway Service and Authentication Gateway Service) will be valid for a while, it will not be provided with the latest journals or other information. Please use this "EZproxy".
３. GACoS will be renewed as "Literacy" on the University of Tokyo Library System.
The new site will include the following
- Information of the database training sessions
- Provide information of writing support
- Search the databases available at the University of Tokyo
