Science Library Display : The history of “An illustrated flora of Nippon by Tomitaro MAKINO” [Dec. 18, 2023－Jan. 19, 2024]

Tomitaro MAKINO was the model for the main character in the TV drama "Ranman" and is closely associated with the School of Science, the University of Tokyo. This exhibition introduces his representative work "Illustrated Flora of Nippon" and the first issue of "The Botanical Magazine" (published in 1887), which Makino himself was involved in founding. We hope you enjoy it.
