Science Library Display:Great Earthquake and Seismology(Jul. 18-Oct. 30, 2023)

This year marks a century of the Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923.
In Japan, whenever a great earthquake occurred, investigations and reports were made, and researchs were conducted to analyze the mechanism and preventative measures.

This exhibition divides the exhibition period into the 1st and the 2nd term to display many of materials held in the library. Please check Event Page for details. We hope this will be an opportunity to come into contact with the research of our predecessors.

 

Great Earthquake and Seismology(1st term)

  • Place: Science Library (Bldg.1), 3rd floor
  • Materials: Reports and papers focusing on the Yokohama Earthquake (1880) and the Nobi Earthquake (1891).
