Weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Closing Days
Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, 4th Thursday every month,
and during winter holidays
Library may be closed temporarily on the days of entrance examination, etc.
Eligibility for use of library
Persons affiliated with University of Tokyo and persons from outside University of Tokyo.
(International Documentation Center is designed to be open to all.)
Requirements for admission to library
Persons affiliated with University of Tokyo :
Persons affiliated with University of Tokyo should enter through the main entrance of the General Library.
Persons from outside University of Tokyo :
Persons from outside University of Tokyo must give notice that they wish to use the International Documentation Center at the main entrance of the General Library.
Requirements for reading in library
Procedures :
Persons wishing to obtain reading privileges must sign the user log when entering the International Documentation Center.
Reading hours : Same as regular library hours
Borrowing
Eligibility :
Persons affiliated with University of Tokyo and persons from outside University of Tokyo (Including the general public.)
Requirements :
Persons affiliated with University of Tokyo can borrow books with Student / Staff ID cards or UT Library cards (IC card type).
Persons from outside University of Tokyo must fill out the required forms.
Materials not available for borrowing :
Documents, publicly available materials,statistical books and the latest volumes of periodicals and series publications.
Borrowing privileges :
Up to 5 books may be borrowed for a period of 2 weeks.
Borrowing hours : Same as regular library hours
Photocopying
Photocopying permitted/not permitted : Permitted
Procedures for photocopying : Obtain a temporary loan.
(Note that the procedures for obtaining a temporary loan are the same as those for obtaining ordinary loans.)
