Initial Registration

By registration, faculty staff/students of the University of Tokyo can use all libraries of the University of Tokyo including the Komaba Library with your staff/student ID.

For new students, library accounts are automatically registered, so no initial registration is necessary.

Registration procedure of faculty staff/student belonging to every department of the University of Tokyo can be done at the Komaba Library.

Required Documents

Please come to the counter with the documents required for initial registration*.
*These things are necessary due to the University of Tokyo libraries common operative regulation.

Reception Hours: Weekdays 9:00 - 17:00

Application Form
We will ask you to fill in the form at the counter. Also you can fill it in beforehand and bring it to the counter.

 

Faculty Staff

  • Staff ID
  • When your staff ID has not been issued yet, please bring a document indicating that you are a faculty staff of the University of Tokyo and your identification (insurance card, driving license, etc.) .
    *We will issue your temporary card. You will need to go through the registration procedure again, after your IC staff ID has been issued.
  • If you are a Fixed-term Full-time Staff or Part-time Staff, please bring a document indicating your period of employment and your identification (insurance card, driving license, etc.) .

Professor Emeritus

  • Proof of professor emeritus
